Finn

Finn is the 18th month old son of an old friend of mine from good 'ol Crosbyton High School. Amy was our class valedictorian and has since gone on to do some pretty amazing things. This shoot was a surprise for her birthday while she was out of the country consulting in Dubai (HELLO! told ya she's amazing! ;)) Finn's Aunt Kelly (my 1st bride EVER) contacted me with the idea and I'm oh so glad that she did! He is too cute and we had so much fun which made my job very easy!   Here are a few favorites from our morning.

march, march, march, march!  Finn LOVES to be a lil solider  :)
*not really certain if Finn loved to play solider or if that's the only way we were successful in
transition and getting him to move from one location to the other. But hey, when it come to
photographing children, whatever works and keeps 'em happy! ;)

just look at that face! don't you just wanna eat him up? :D

Finn's grandmother Lori wanted some pics of Finn playing with his trains.
so naturally we went to the nearest train station we could find.

We were there for a few minutes and then noticed a car approaching.  A nice handsome gentleman exited the car, walked over to us and said, "What are you folks doing?" "Do you know you're trespassing?" as he points to the bright NEON GREEN sign we had to walk past to get to the tracks.

(((GASP!)))
"You know you folks could go to jail."  And on that note...we apologized profusely and quickly hauled our cookies outta there! ;)

my favorite from the day. I just loved this expression on his face, soo serious! :)

gotta love tiny toes  :)

and wittle bitty fingers

a lil more marching :)

Kelly and Lori, thank you again sooo much for thinking of me when you wanted pics of your precious lil Finn.  I loved every minute of it and I hope Amy loves them as well!  (oh, and I also hope you've already shared the story w/ Amy about how her son broke his 1st law at 18 months old w/ me! If not, sorry, and HI AMY! How was Dubai?!? lol!)
That's all for now.  Till next time!  :)

The time has come...(in a James Earl Jones voice over)

For years now I’ve talked about starting a photography website or blog…aaand that’s about as far as it’s ever gotten, talking. I mean I’ve set up accounts; email addresses, domain names (yes there is a trinyrodriguez.com, don't go to it, there's nothing there), and have yet to actually post anything on any of them, until now. So although it is against my better judgment, I’ve decided to take the plunge! Granted I’m having some serious fears and doubts, (that are leading to my inability to sleep) but I figure there is no time like the present! I mean wth, right? If I keep waiting for the perfect shoot or series of pics that I feel are "my best", or till I have enough images for a website, or till this or that happens or whatever other excuse I’ve been telling myself all these years, I’ll never do it. The time has come, the time is here, and the time is now!!!* So ladies and gents, without further adieu, I introduce to you, Triny Rodriguez Photography. (cool logo to come soon :))

*said in a dramatic James Earl Jones voice over. (Yesss, you know who James Earl Jones is. He was Mufasa. “Ooooh, say it again, say it again!” “MUFASA!” “Oooooh!”, you know from The Lion King. I quote movies a lot; you’ll start to notice that! lol! ;))
