So it's been forever and a day since my last post and to be honest, I've missed blogging. There's something soothng about writing your thoughts down that leaves me with a feeling of accomplishment. Yes, it still scares the bejezus out of me, but I'm working on it. Try as I may I can't escape the fear that comes with putting oneself out there for the world to judge. That's the funny thing about art; you appreciate it, respect it when it 'speaks' to you or you think it's been done well, but it's all so subjective and where one person can love it others are left wondering, what all the fuss is about.
So, as I try to overcome my fears and thoughts of utter and complete failure, I'll do my best to remember that now, in this moment I am on a journey. Where my destination will lead for the moment is unclear, but as I truck along this road I'll be sure and have my dreams in tow! :)
The weather is finally changing here in West Texas. It's gone from HOT and humid to HOT and dusty ;) and now we've arrived at my favorite time of the year FALL!!! The leaves have changed colors and you can just feel it's autumn by the crisp cool air. It's the time of fireplaces being lit in the evenings, families snuggling under blankets, and some good ol fashioned football!
A few months ago, waaaay before the shift to Autumn (told ya it'd been forever and a day since I blogged), I had the pleasure of photographing L.A.'s (Little Anthony) 1st birthday party! I've worked with Anthony (the big one) for the past four years and have enjoyed seeing his Lil Man grow. We had a great time at Texas, I mean, Lubbock Water Rampage (who knew they'd changed their name?) splashing around and enjoying the sun! Here are a few favorites from our day!
Anthony and Veronica, thank you again so much for allowing me to share in L.A.'s 1st birthday! I look forward to more good times with your lil family! :)
