Meet the Rodriguez family!  Noooo, we're not related, but I love them lots none the less! :) I've known Kathy my entire life, met Chris when they started dating, stood up as a bridesmaid in their wedding, and have watched them grown in love and in life.  Kathy called wanting pics in time for Christmas and I was happy to oblige!  I was even able to snap a few shots with the newest member of their extended family, their nephew Talon.  These little boys were adorable, the cuteness was almost too much too handle!  :)  Here's a few of my favs from our day!

Who...YOU??? + The Turner Family

I'm BAAAACK!  Who...YOU???  You may be asking.   YES, ME!!!  You know the girl who once wrote months ago that she was done with waiting, she'd had enough with her own excuses and she was bound and determined to put herself out there whole heartedly and do what she’d said she always wanted to do!  Well, I may not have gone fourth with the initial amount of gusto I had on that first post.  It was 2:30 in the morning, I must have been delirious!  I mean, I was in the middle of planning a wedding that would happen in 2 months (that I’d only decided on and begun planning a few weeks before) and for some reason I decided THAT would be the PERFECT time to start up my photography business.  Yeah, right smack in the middle of my, “Hey, let’s get married!”  idea!  Like I said, PERFECT timing!   So needless to say, you can tell from the lack of posts, things didn’t exactly go as planned.  But life never does right?  So, in this the New Year my goal is to pursue my photography full force.  Yes, I know it’s a lil late for New Year’s Resolutions, but give me a break, I’m trying here!  ;)   

It’s been a while, so I have some catching up to do.  2 Families, one graduation, a birthday party, and a newborn, all coming up! 

Up first, the Turner Family. 

A few weeks before Christmas (don’t worry, the pics were delivered before Christmas, I’m only just blogging now) I had the opportunity to photograph this wonderful family and I LOVED every minute of it!  Celina and I laugh at least a few times a day at work and her husband John had more than a few laughs at me when we worked together (small, small world :), so I should’ve known that their family would be just as much fun!  We laughed and laughed as we walked through downtown and then later rummaged through ‘the forest’, or the patch of green I could find in Lubbock.  ;)  Celina’s younger brother’s Steven and Josh came along and joined us for some pics of their own and more than helped with the their share of laughs! 

 It can take a group of this size a while to get in sync! :D

April - Paige, Paiton & Paisley

April is a good friend of mine, you might be noticing a bit of a trend here, lol!  But hey, I said I'm an aspiring photographer so shooting friends & family is a great way to practice!  So if you're family/friend and you're reading this, don't be surprised when I ask you to be next!  ;)

April and I have known each other since before we were in our twenties (oh, the good ol days before mortgages, insurance and everything else that comes with being a grown up ;) and here we are over 10 years later, and I must say A LOT has changed since then.  Our conversations have grown and matured over the years from "OMG he's so hot!" and "What are you gonna wear out tonight?" to "I caught Paiton peeing in the pool!" and "Oh, if only I could get Paisley to take a bottle!"  Lol!   So yes things have changed to say the least, yet here we are ten years, a couple of husbands, and four kids later still friends and still those young girls at heart!  :)

Mario + Ashley (and coming in December...Marley!) :)

Hi folks!  I know it's been awhile, but, well, I've been a very busy lady.  More on that later, this post isn't about my extreme absence it's about my friend Ashley, her husband Mario, and they're lil bundle of joy arriving in December, Marley!

Isn't that adorable?  I just LOVE it!  Marley is also Ashley's mother's maiden name, so it couldn't be more perfect!  :) 

Ashley and I have known each other for years having gone to jr high (yes, we called in jr high when I was in school, lol!) and high school together in good ol Crosbyton, Texas.  It was so great to see each other again and catch up between shots.  Now I've only had the pleasure of meeting Mario a few times, once when they were dating at South Plains College, then again at their wedding, and then lastly this past Saturday morning; so it's only natural that he would be a lil hesitant towards some of my ideas, i.e., let's go shoot pictures in this empty parking lot, lol! ;)  But by the end of the shoot we were all laughing and having a great time!  Here are a few of the shots from our Saturday morning.  :)
